Soon after the journal was closed, a journal called The Public Administration Review (TPA) started its publication. It also took the name of Journal of Public Administration in 1965.

The journal was not a new publication. The first issue of TPA came in 1963. According to sources, it was first published in ten, then twenty issues (with a break). Then 60 issues appeared with a couple of intervals (1967–1973). The issue was small in number. It was published by the Institute of Public Administration (IPA), London.
