Brady, I can't claim to be an expert at Focus stacking (and I know said expertise has been questioned on many occasions), but by following the procedure laid out by the Kodak Focus Assistant and continuing to refine same with a process called Continuity Confinement allows stacks to be created that are virtually identical based on camera movement.
I have 30+ years experience in photography. I've been using the camera system from Olympus for years and, I can tell you, I have not seen a single instance of a Photograph taken in followfocus stacking mode, except on one system. I have also a friend who is experienced photographer who started out with the same manufacturer of system and has never seen that, either. At this point I have to guess that the non-existence of 1 Photograph in the company of many, many Photographs has more to do with the filters than anything else.
Brady, I understand that many of the focus stacking techniques require near perfect levels of accuracy to consistently create stacks of high quality. I'm curious if there is a way to export or save files directly into those stacks? Or perhaps you can render the stacking accurately, but they're not exported? d2c66b5586
